The Founders Trophy is an event to celebrate the Founders ​of Beaconhills Golf Club in 1947 and has been played since ​1952.

Format: Handicap Matchplay

Qualifying: 31 August

Round 1: 14 September

Round 2: 21 September

Final: 19 October

Ro​pe Relief

We are committed to continually striking the right balance ​between protecting the course and the playing experience ​of all Members and Visitors to the club. This year, the couch ​grass areas of the course have held up remarkably well ​during winter. This is a combination of favourable weather ​conditions and the fantastic work of our ground staff. As a ​result, the ground staff have removed some of the ropes ​allowing access to many of the fairways on the front 9.

Some Key Points:

• This is a trial and may be reversed at any time if the ​course condition is suffering. E.g., further wet weather.​
  
• There will be access at the start and end of the fairways​ and the side ropes will remain up.​
• Some areas will remain roped if they are wet or it is​ unsafe to enter in a motorised vehicle. E.g., The 3rd hole.​
• In many cases, it is better to stay on the fairway rather​ than driving in the rough. Please think about where you​ are driving.​
• You must never cross the blue lines surrounding the​ greens.​
• The back 9 ropes remain in place.​

We understand that golf can be a ​frustrating endeavour at times ​however we do ask that any ​profanities that are made whilst ​playing are kept at a level that are ​not heard across the course.
