We have a new local rule to help with taking relief from the
spoon drain and path between the 1st and 19th holes. The
rule is as follows:


You may take relief in a drop zone if;

  • Your ball lies in the spoon drain on the right of the path
    or;
  • Your ball is on the path whilst the path is adjacent to the
    spoon drain.

The drop zone used is determined by which side of the
green stake your ball is:

  • Balls before the green stake use the drop zone before the
    green stake.
  • Balls past the green stake use the drop zone past the
    green stake.

This week Ann Felgate (L), Nicki Charman, Libby Michell (R), Brian Kingma & Bruce Edwards flew to Alice to play in the Alice Springs Masters, the longest running Masters in Australia.


Playing in 36+ temperatures, Ann won Gold in the 36-hole gross event as well as Bronze in the 36-hole nett event. Libby won Tuesday's 18 hole nett.

Congratulations to Heather Hamilton who defeated Michelle Desaulniers in a close match for the Spring Classic trophy.


The Spring Classic (usually two grades) was introduced by Lady Captain Annette Phillips in 1993.
