Jumping The Gun
The official women's photographer took a photo of Liz Wong as she was expected to be the Midweek Medal winner on Wednesday. It was a lovely photo with Liz very happy to win the medal. That was of course until the last cards went in and Denzel Toland came in with a nett 66 to claim the medal. Pictured below is the real winner - Denzel.
3rd Hole Works - Rule Clarification
The area where the works have been completed is currently
Compulsory GUR.
- If your ball lands in the Compulsory GUR you must take
free relief on the fairway at the nearest point of relief, no
nearer the hole.
- If your ball lands in the Penalty area, your normal
options of landing in a penalty area apply. If you
choose to take relief from the point of entry, you must
drop the ball on the fairway at the nearest point of relief,
no nearer the hole. This is a 1 stroke penalty.
Please take care if you are walking in this area to retrieve a
ball as it may be slippery.

Phil Scott Holes Out
Congratulations to Phil Scott who had his first hole in on
the 15th hole on Tuesday. Phil flushed a 6 iron into the
wind. Graeme Sundstrom (by far the tallest player in
the group) was certain it had gone in - and he was
correct. It didn’t go all Phil’s way though as he and
Graeme still only halved the hole when Ray Diss sunk
his par putt equaling the ‘plus’ Phil had already scored.
Pennant Update
The pennant season has come to end with both our
teams doing the club proud with some great victories
throughout the season. The teams did a fantastic job
and all the games were played in great spirit. It’s a
privilege to be able to play for this great club and we
know both teams put in 100% every match.
