Rule - Lost Ball
When you lose your ball (and it has not gone into a penalty
area) there is only 1 thing you can do. Your only option is to
go back to where you played the previous shot and play it
again with a penalty of 1 stroke.
Examples:
If you played your tee shot and could not find the ball, you
must return to the tee and you will now be playing your 3rd
shot from the tee. 1 shot for the first tee shot, 2nd shot is the
1 shot penalty and the 3rd shot is the 2nd shot from the tee.
If you played your 2nd shot from the fairway and could not
find your ball, you must return to where you played your
shot and you will now be playing your 4th shot.
It is a bad enough feeling to lose a ball and this is only
magnified if you have to walk back to where you played
your previous shot. To avoid this, if you feel your ball may
be difficult to find, please play a provisional ball.
Nightingale Winner
Congratulations to
Brad Vigilante who
defeated Dave
Spooner in the final
of Nightingale
Trophy on the 19th
hole.
4th Hole - GUR
The left-hand side of 4th hole from the tee to
approximately 260 metres from the green is now GUR.
You may take free relief at the nearest point to where your
ball lies no nearer the hole.
If you are unable to find your ball and you are 'virtually
certain’ it has entered the GUR (which is anywhere left of
the white posts), you take free relief at the nearest point no
nearer the hole where you believe your ball should have
been. You should consult with your Marker where this point
is.
There is a point where the white posts stop and the red
stakes start. Any balls in the area marked with red stakes
are in a penalty area and the penalty area rules apply.

Something’s Missing?
Rob Darlison was preparing to putt on Thursday and went through his normal rigorous routine to ensure the best possibility of making the putt and was ready to pull the trigger when his playing partners asked a pertanent question. Where's your ball? Darlo was going to putt his ball marker.....
